This provisional draft records the first-party browser-storage posture for the free, invite-only, adult beta. The initial copy was reviewed on 4 August 2026; the owner reviewed and approved the factual display-preference disclosure on 9 August 2026. This remains product-governance approval, not counsel review or legal clearance.

Implementation-specific disclosures added after that review are identified in the relevant notice and still require renewed owner review. This is internal product-governance approval, not qualified-counsel review, legal advice, or a determination of compliance. Support, privacy, security, and copyright or takedown requests can be sent to [email protected]. Operator identity, governing jurisdiction, and final retention details remain pending. No qualified counsel review has been recorded; qualified review is required before public signup, payment, access by minors, institutional use, or consequential use. This internal status does not create an exemption from applicable law.

Public site today

The public Next.js site in this repository does not currently install optional analytics, advertising cookies, or a consent banner. It serves product information and local interactive demos without an account.

Reader and study storage

The private beta uses Supabase Auth. The separate Reader uses first-party browser or device storage for authentication sessions, an imported local library, reader settings, offline/PWA operation, the current LearningBored capture session, and retry-safe review-grade delivery.

Before invitations, deployed first-party storage will be verified. This notice will describe each purpose and either the expected duration or the criteria used to determine it; exact implementation key names remain in the internal inventory.

Display preference

If you choose Light or Dark instead of the System theme, the public site stores that choice in this browser’s local storage under learningbored.theme.v1. The preference remains until you clear site data or choose System, which removes the stored key. It stays in this browser and is not sent to the LearningBored API or monitoring providers.

Optional measurement

PostHog, advertising, marketing analytics, and optional browser measurement are disabled for the private beta. Server-side Sentry monitoring does not install browser cookies through the LearningBored API or worker. Optional technology must remain off unless its provider, purpose, fields, lifetime, and consent behavior are documented and implemented.

Pending deployed details

Before invitations, the effective notice must accurately describe the purpose, provider or owner, duration or duration criteria, and available user control for each category of cookie or equivalent storage used by the deployed public site and Reader. Exact implementation key names remain in the internal inventory. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
